Every second year the EFRC offers a 4-day student excursion for a group of 25 students – free of charge!
The EFRC Student Workshop combines hands-on experience and in-depth presentations so that students will discover the world of reciprocating compressor. We will look into the design and typical features of reciprocating compressors and their components. This includes also theoretical parts on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, acoustics etc.
For this unique hands-on experience, students will visit manufacturers of reciprocating compressors and components as well as end users from the industry. Valuable insights will be provided into the areas of application of reciprocating compressors, e.g. in the energy sector, in process engineering, and in the chemical industry.
Our aims
- Introduce students to the reciprocating compressor industry
- Promote the network between industry and young engineers
- Provide on-site experience along with in-depth lectures
- Attract well trained and motivated universitiy graduates for the industry
