  • Should initiate, help and facilitate the EFRC on improving and developing international standards and guidelines.

How it works & Organisation

The chairperson will be chosen by voting during the general assembly. EFRC members are encouraged to join the working group. However, it is also possible that experts from the international industry, who are not a member of the EFRC, are invited by the chairperson to take part of the working group. Twice a year the working group will have a telecom meeting and if necessary a face-to-face meeting will be organized. An update of the international standards & guidelines on reciprocating compressors and ongoing EFRC projects will be given during these meetings. New project ideas will be proposed to the members of the precompetitive research group during the biannually meetings. The members of the precompetitive research group will vote if a project will be proposed to the General Assembly (GA) meeting. Approval of new projects as financed by the EFRC will be given by the members of the EFRC during the General Assembly Meeting. EFRC guidelines will be made public available via the EFRC website. A final target is include EFRC guidelines in international accepted standards for reciprocating compressors, e.g. API or ISO. The results of projects as financed by the EFRC are owned by the EFRC as long as they are not published on the EFRC website.
